This Privacy Policy describes how Lancerra ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use lancerra.co. By using Lancerra, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: When you register, we collect your email address. If you sign up via Google or GitHub, we also receive your name and profile picture from those providers.
  • Profile data: Information you voluntarily provide in your profile — profession, skills, years of experience, and location — used to personalize your analysis results.
  • Usage data: We record how many analyses you have run to enforce free-tier limits and track Pro subscription usage.
  • Offer content: The text or file you submit for analysis is transmitted to our AI model to generate your results. Raw offer content is not permanently stored on our servers after processing.
  • Analysis results: If you have an account, your analysis output — scores, flags, and negotiation tips — is saved to your dashboard history.
  • Payment information: Subscription payments are handled entirely by PayPal. Lancerra does not receive, store, or process your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the Lancerra service.
  • To authenticate you and maintain your session securely.
  • To enforce free-tier usage limits and manage Pro subscriptions.
  • To generate AI analysis results tailored to your profile.
  • To communicate with you — for example, account verification and password reset emails.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

  • Firebase (Google) — Authentication and database. Your account data is stored in Google Firebase. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com.
  • OpenAI — The offer text you submit is sent to OpenAI's API to generate analysis results. OpenAI's data use policy applies to this transmission. See openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
  • PayPal — Subscription billing. PayPal's privacy policy governs all payment data. See paypal.com/privacy.
  • Serper — Used server-side to fetch live market rate data. No personal data is transmitted to Serper.

4. Data Retention

  • Your account and profile data is retained as long as your account is active.
  • Analysis results saved to your dashboard are retained until you delete them or close your account.
  • Raw offer text submitted for analysis is not stored after the response is generated.
  • You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

  • We use a secure, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie contains no personal information — only an opaque session identifier.
  • Your preferred color theme (light/dark) is stored in your browser's local storage.
  • We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics.

6. Security

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Session cookies are HTTP-only and Secure. Passwords are never stored — authentication is handled by Firebase, which uses industry-standard hashing.
  • While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. We encourage you not to submit highly sensitive personal or financial information in offer text.

7. Children's Privacy

  • Lancerra is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

  • You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you.
  • You can update your profile information at any time from your dashboard.
  • To request full account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us at the email address below.
  • If you are in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Lancerra after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
